I have this book also. My dad, R.W. Johnson, Squadron six. As I understand it, by the time these men finished all their training, the war was over. For my dad, I believe he was discharged shortly after the war ended. I am curious if anyone has more detail than what I shared.

I have a copy of this book from my father, C.L.Bockhorst, Squadron 8. His Commission on June 1944 was a B-17 Pilot stationed Foggia, Italy. He did 22 combat missions over Germany from 1944-1945. His official tour of duty was from May 1943-February 1946. I understand over half the pilots from Italy did not return home. God Bless these brave men.
