The original photo was given to me in 2014 by my sister who had it in her basement, yet I had never seen it before. After restoration and mounting, it hangs on y wall And I look at all of those young men with great pride for their hard work and eventual contribution in combat for our nation. How many came home like dad? They fininsed Primary Flight School 11 months before Pearl Harbor and may thought the would be call to active duty, my dad's journal mentions that he thought we would not get involved with entanglements overseas. Hats off to the Army Air Forces Collection website and the webmaster for ALL his efforts to assemble this unique, interesting, and important assemblage. I found much unknown info and even better, pictures of my daddy lost to history and to me for over 60 years. Many thanks again to Mike V. for this. Currently my younger son serves as a 3rd Group Special Forces Medical Sergeant. His granddad would be proud his Green Beret grandson if he were still with us. Then as now I humbly ask; God Bless America.
