I wrote down the GPS coordinates for Pampa AAF and put them on the moving map when I fly over the area. I have never so far spotted it, but I will keep trying.

My late father, Robert A. Benz of Portland, Oregon, was a flight instructor at Pampa on B-25's. Do any of you remember him? He passed away in 2005 and to his last day talked about his time at Pampa. His favorite story was flying a B-25 through the Grand Canyon (couldn't do that today!).

I am very happy to see this book and those of other classes available online. The Internet is fantastic.
I am fortunate to have my dad's original copy. It has some mildew on the cover but is intact.
My dad was Robt. E. Wilson of Dallas, Texas. He was sent to troop carrier squadron in Rome after graduation where he flew C-47s. He participated in the Berlin Airlift in 48/49 and flew C54. Eventually flew for Pioneer Airlines, a forerunner of Continental.
If anyone else was in the class or your dad/grandfather was, share his story with me.
I am still in the family Dallas area, I am a Captain for Continental (now United) Airlines.
