My Father Bertram R.Theiss 92nd Bomb Group, 407th Sq. 8th USAAF, is listed in section D of this book.His B-17 was shot down,30 miles east of Paris, by German FW 190 Fighters,from JG 26, on Sept 3, 1943. He and 6 of the crew escaped, with the help of various French Resistance groups. Three of the crew became POW's > all 10 men survived the War.
