Saw pic of Dan Madigan, my father in law who passed recently. Family is delighted and wonders about his classmates.

Ed Evensen was my uncle.
One of his assignments in the war was to fly transport aircraft (C47) 'over the hump', from various fields in Burma, to Kunming, in China, a job he described as "flying where there are rocks hiding in the clouds", referring to the necessity of navigating between mountains, as his heavily-laden aircraft did not have the "operational ceiling" to climb above them.
He survived the war, but had contracted malaria, and passed away in the late 1960's

I enjoyed this class book because it listed the previous flight schools the student attended. Example, from Rankin Field the student progressed to another school then to Luke. Same for those from Visalia (Sequoia AAF). This feature of the book is important because it allows someone to track the progress of a given student or to follow a given class from Primary, Basic, etc.
Interesting that Rankin AAF is listed as the point of training vice the town it was located in (Tulare, CA), while the neighboring school, Sequoia AAF is listed as 'Visalia' which is the name of the town the school was located in.
