My father, George F Weller, is listed in this class book. He was part of the Nack crew in the 446th BG 704th Sqd. where he completed half his tour with 15 missions. The Bertelsen crew was also part of the same squadron and transfered to the 389th BG to join the new Pathfinder squadron the 567th sqd. in late March. At the time of this transfer, my Dad replaced the bombardier in that crew, Ray L. Mitchell, also listed in this class book. They went on to lead the whole 8th Air Force to the beaches of Normandy on D-Day.
