This item was added to the collection in honor of Robert Quint, pictured on page 49. Weast and Quint both attended primary flight training at Victory Field, Vernon, Texas and basic flight training at Goodfellow Field, San Angelo, Texas.

Quint went on to advanced flight training at Moore Field, Mission, Texas, while Weast went on to Brooks Field, San Antonio, Texas. He was later assigned to the 12th Observation squadron at Esler Field, Alexandria, Louisiana.

Quint trained in Photo Reconnaissance at Petterson Field, CO following flight school, and flew the F4 and F5 (Recon versions of the P-38) in the 9th PRS (10th AAF) and 21st PRS (14th AAF) in Kunming and Quelin China, the RP-80 at Irumagawa (Occupation of Japan) and transitioned to the RB-36 (recon version of the B-36) at Travis and Rapid City AFBases (1949-1956).rnrn
