"Buck" Kent was one of the flight instructors shown in this yearbook. I was born in Stamford while Dad was an instructor at Arledge Field primary school. There is an historical marker there that commemorates Arledge Field and the role it and other civilian air schools played in Texas (there were 20 in all)in training pilots for the Army Air Force. The school opened in 1941 and closed in 1944. |

Great stuff. I noted a Sabo from PA. I hae a navy LT on staff with same name and from PA. I will ask if there is a connection.
