A history of the 61st Troop Carrier Wing, including details of a project code-named Project Wonderful. This was a project to plan and schedule air transportation for some 30,000 troops in the Continental Air Force. Cpl. Charles E. Caldwell was sent to Kirtland AAF after having completed Aviation Engineer School at Geiger Field, Spokane, WA, to participate in some way with this Project, but by the time he arrived the Project was completed or near completion so he had no part in it.
