My uncle, Harold J. Lee, (deceased) from Toronto Canada was a graduate of this class. He went on to fly B-26s in Europe, although I'm not sure of his unit yet( Oct 11). I've been doing genealogical work on my family and was fortunate to come across this book. I have an invitation to the graduation that he sent to my father (his brother). The plane on the embosssed blue leather cover looks to be a B-26. It appears that the owner of this book went to B-26 transition. I wonder if there are any surviving members of this class?

I have two copies of this my father is on the page opposite your uncle - His name was Frederick Harold Leigh. I am searching for any records or campaigns he was involved in an don't know where to start, I have a bunch of his "buddies" who signed his copy (sadly many lost far too soon). He would never, ever discuss the war and I found an old reel-to reel player and some reel tapes I have yet to re-locate that seem to be related to treatment he had after the war and having suffered what they called "shell shock". It was a war that broke a part f him, despite finishing RISD and becoming an extremely successful designer. I was gifted to have had him until 2001- but I , at the mere age of 34 had lost my dad- to me far to soon.... He was the one true love of my life- the embodiment of unconditional love- he showed it I believe because of what he witnessed in the war and knew just how short and precious life was - Melissa
