Class 42-D was the first class to graduate at Victory Field.

This item was added to the collection in honor of Robert Quint, also mentioned on page 61. Weast and Quint both attended primary flight training at Victory Field, Vernon, Texas and basic flight training at Goodfellow Field, San Angelo, Texas.
Quint went on to advanced flight training at Moore Field, Mission, Texas, while Weast went on to Brooks Field, San Antonio, Texas. He was later assigned to the 12th Observation squadron at Esler Field, Alexandria, Louisiana.
